Delivering Management Consulting & Institutional Capacity Building Since 2013

Trust Training and Consulting is a leading professional services firm specialising in Management Consulting and Institutional Capacity Building services in Ghana. Over the past thirteen (13) years, we have built extensive experience supporting development projects, public sector institutions, and parastatals, delivering consulting and capacity-building interventions that enhance governance, strengthen institutional performance, and improve development outcomes.

We commenced operations in 2013 with a passion to set a higher standard of excellence in the delivery of bespoke Management Consulting and Capacity Building services. Today, our firm stands as one of Ghana's foremost professional services providers, with a strong track record of delivering over 200 institutional strengthening, capacity building, and advisory assignments – primarily within the development partner landscape – that have benefited more than 14,000 professionals and beneficiaries across at least twenty (20) Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and parastatals. This has been made possible through our core team of dedicated permanent staff and a wide and diverse associate pool of over 100 Consultants who are seasoned experts scattered across five continents of the globe, some of whom have successfully executed capacity building and consulting assignments on behalf of government institutions and development agencies.

Our vision is to become the most trusted brand in capacity building and management consulting services in Ghana and West Africa, consistently creating value for government institutions, parastatals, and international development partner-funded programmes. Our niche lies in supporting government institutions, parastatals, and development partner-funded interventions, particularly World Bank-financed projects implemented through Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
Over the past thirteen (13) years, we have developed a deep understanding of the governance, operational, fiduciary, and capacity development requirements of development programmes, enabling us to deliver practical management consulting and institutional capacity-building solutions that improve organisational performance and development outcomes.

Our firm, Trust Training and Consulting, is supported by a three-member Advisory Board established to provide high-level strategic guidance, independent professional advice, and institutional counsel to the leadership of the company.

Our Advisory Board

  • Mr. Robert deGraft-Hanson is a distinguished Public Financial Management (PFM) Specialist, Chartered Accountant, and Management Consultant with over 25 years of experience in auditing, development finance, banking, and public sector reform. He served as a Senior Financial Management Specialist at the World Bank, where he provided fiduciary oversight and financial management support to major development partner-funded programmes across Ghana and several other African countries. His expertise spans public financial management reforms, governance, risk management, internal controls, institutional strengthening, and capacity building. As Chairman of the Firm's Advisory Board, he provides strategic leadership and guidance on governance, financial management, risk oversight, institutional sustainability, and business growth.

  • Dr. Edmund Nibeneeh Aalangdong is a distinguished development policy specialist, education strategist, researcher, and project management expert with nearly two decades of experience in development planning, higher education governance, monitoring and evaluation, institutional development, and donor-funded programme management. He currently serves as Head of the African Centre for School Leadership Research at ESSA Africa and previously served as Deputy Director and Head of Policy and Planning at the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC). Dr. Aalangdong has successfully led and coordinated major initiatives funded by the World Bank Group, International Finance Corporation (IFC), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), TrustAfrica, and the Association of African Universities (AAU). As a member of the Firm's Advisory Board, he provides strategic guidance on institutional development, development effectiveness, monitoring and evaluation, policy advisory, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Ms. Sally Mary Adjetey is an accomplished development consultant, organisational development practitioner, and project management professional with over 25 years of experience spanning consulting, financial services, agribusiness development, organisational transformation, and donor-funded programme implementation. She has successfully led and contributed to project evaluations, feasibility studies, value chain assessments, and capacity-building assignments funded by organisations including USAID, KfW, the European Union, the Mastercard Foundation, and the African Development Bank across Ghana and several African countries. As a member of the Firm's Advisory Board, she provides strategic guidance on organisational development, leadership effectiveness, project management, evaluation, and institutional capacity strengthening.

The Advisory Board supports TTL's continued growth and positioning as a leading provider of Management Consulting and Institutional Capacity Building services, with expertise spanning institutional development, governance, public financial management, development advisory, organisational performance improvement, and development effectiveness.

The Advisory Board plays a non-executive role, and serves as an independent strategic advisory body that provides objective insights, thought leadership, and professional guidance to support the firm's long-term growth, sustainability, and service excellence.

Through its collective expertise and experience, the Advisory Board helps ensure that the firm remains responsive to client needs, aligned with international good practice, and well-positioned to deliver sustainable value to government institutions, state-owned enterprises, development partners, and other stakeholders.

Our Team

Meet the architects of success at Trust Training & Consulting. Led by our CEO, Abu Issifu, who has over two decades of experience, our dynamic team boasts of a combined experience of over 50 years. We blend passion, expertise, and dedication, having delivered more than 200 institutional strengthening, capacity building, and advisory assignments that have made an indelible mark on at least 20 government agencies and parastatals.

  • Abu Issifu is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of Trust Training & Consulting. With over twenty-five (25) years of professional experience, he has led and supported numerous assignments in training and consulting, finance, assurance, project reviews and assessments, governance, and risk management. His portfolio includes work with leading private and public sector organisations such as the World Bank, ATS, Banlaw, BAT, and KPMG. He possesses extensive expertise in fiduciary systems, internal controls, institutional capacity development, and organisational effectiveness, and has overseen the delivery of a wide range of capacity-building interventions for senior professionals and institutions. Abu is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA.

  • Nicholas commands twenty (20) years of professional experience spanning consulting firms, think tanks, development programmes, and international organisations. An Organisational Development Consultant, he specialises in diagnosing institutional and performance challenges and designing targeted capacity development and change interventions to improve organisational effectiveness. His expertise includes strategic planning and alignment, leadership and team development, stakeholder engagement, and the management of institutional transformation initiatives. Nicholas has supported the design and delivery of learning and organisational development interventions for a range of clients, including development partners, government institutions, and private sector organisations. He periodically supports the World Bank in the design and facilitation of staff retreats and team development engagements.

  • Robert brings eighteen (18) years of experience in training programme management, logistics and events coordination, research, and administration. Having worked across Europe, Australia, and Ghana, he combines extensive operational expertise with a strong academic background, holding three master's degrees (MSc, MCom and MPhil), a postgraduate diploma, and a bachelor's degree. His academic and professional affiliations include the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, the University of New South Wales, the University of Oslo, Horizon College of Learning, London, and the University of Ghana.

  • Abubakari brings over twelve (12) years of experience in administration, logistics, and operational management. He plays a key role in coordinating the delivery of training programmes and consultancy assignments, overseeing logistics, participant management, and operational processes to ensure seamless execution. He holds bachelor's (BCom) and master's (MA) degrees in Business and is a part-qualified accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK.

  • George brings eight (8) years of experience in training, organisational development, and human resource consulting across the private sector, government institutions, and development agencies. He has supported assignments for clients including the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and GIZ, and has led teams through ISO training audits and quality assurance processes. His expertise spans talent acquisition and management, organisational HR audits, performance management systems, and the design and implementation of HR advisory interventions aimed at strengthening institutional effectiveness.

  • Comfort brings over ten (10) years of experience coordinating and administering training programmes and capacity-building initiatives across Ghana. She supports the planning and execution of learning interventions, ensuring efficient programme delivery, participant coordination, and logistical management. Comfort holds an MSc in General Business Management and a BA in Psychology, obtained from universities in China and Ghana, respectively.

  • Edward is a Chartered Accountant with an MBA and eighteen (18) years of professional experience in accounting, taxation, financial reporting, and corporate finance. He has supported organisations in maintaining sound financial management systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening internal controls, and producing timely and reliable financial reports to support effective decision-making.

Accreditation and Affiliations

Trust Training holds affiliations with highly respected local and international professional bodies and organisations. These include the UK-based CPD Certification Service, a globally acclaimed international accreditation agency with 25 years of experience accrediting institutions of higher learning. Our accreditation with CPD is validation that our course content, resource persons, and delivery methodologies have been rigorously assessed against global quality benchmarks of higher learning. Other CPD-accredited institutions include the University of Oxford, Kings College London, and other distinguished world-class institutions.

 

Locally, our firm is affiliated with the Ghana chapter of the globally respected Project Management Institute (PMI), whose PMP accreditation is recognised as the international gold standard for project management professionals. Our training is further endorsed by the Institute of Project Management Professionals (IPMP), Ghana with whom we are affiliated.
